Our Heritage

The waist chain is among the oldest jewelry on earth. Gold girdles in the tombs of ancient Egypt. The kamarband of the Mughal courts. In South India, the oddiyanam — a waist chain clasped on a bride and worn for life, a thread of gold passed from mother to daughter.
