A fine chain should be easy to live in. Ours are made from stainless steel finished with 18K gold or silver PVD — a process that bonds the colour to the metal, so it's genuinely waterproof and tarnish-free. You can shower, swim and sleep in it. Still, a few small habits keep it looking its best for years.

The simple rules

  • Put it on last. After perfume, lotion and hairspray — not before.
  • Wipe it now and then. A soft, dry cloth after wear keeps it bright.
  • Store it flat and dry. Lay it in a pouch or dish rather than tangling it in a drawer.
  • Be kind to plated styles. A few of our pieces use gold-plated alloy (noted on the product page) — keep those drier and away from chlorine.
